The school will be held at the building of the Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center for Neuromathematics (NeuroMat), Institute of Mathematics and Statistics (IME), University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil
The building is a three-story building. The morning theoretical classes will be at the lecture room on the ground floor and the afternoon hands-on classes will be at the computer lab room on the first floor. Exercises, project work and discussions can be done on each of the two rooms as well as on the areas outside the rooms equipped with black- or whiteboards.
A number of books on computational neuroscience and other topics taught at the school will be available in the lecture room for student consultation. The books belong either to Antonio Roque or to USP and LASCON participants are kindly asked to not remove them from the NeuroMat building and return them to the lecture room at the end of the school.
We kindly ask LASCON participants to no use the third floor because it will be reserved to NeuroMat students, researchers or personnel not involved with LASCON.
Past experience has shown that students get distracted if they use their laptops or other electronic devices during theoretical classes, so we kindly ask students to not use them during the morning theoretical classes.
