LASCON 2018
VII Latin American School on Computational Neuroscience
São Paulo, SP, Brazil
January 7 – February 2 2018
The seventh edition of the Latin American School on Computational Neuroscience – LASCON VII was held in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The school was four weeks long and covered the following topics: biophysically detailed single neuron models; reduced and simplified single neuron models; networks of biophysical and simplified neuron models; synaptic plasticity and learning; active inference and predictive coding in the brain; spike train analysis; stochastic modeling of ion channels; dynamics of neuronal functional connectivity; variable length memory chains and applications in neuroscience; and computational psychiatry. These models were illustrated with the use of programs NEURON, neuroConstruct, XPP-AUTO, Matlab, NEST, Brian and the Virtual Brain. The faculty was composed of an international team of world-renowned researchers in the field of computational neuroscience.
LASCON 2018 was an activity of the Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center (RIDC) for Neuromathematics (NeuroMat).
